When we took birth, we knew no one, and it felt like we were lonely. As we grew, we started to know everyone, and we felt that there are so many people who make our life brighter. And as we matured, we got to know who actually makes it the brightest. That’s the only one person in our life who’s the most important . Whether it’s our mom, our dad, our siblings, our best friends, or anyone else. And that person seems to be the only one who is irreplaceable. This person makes us smile, helps us, cares for us, understands us, supports us, and most importantly he keeps us happy all the time. All of us live behind a mask. There is a true us, that is even hidden from ourselves. But in a world with a population of 7 billion, they seem to be the only person who can bring out the real us. We are so honest to them and they are so honest to us, that a bond of deep trust is created. We feel that we can share anything with them, whatever we want, even if it’s too personal for that matter. There is totally a different kind of attachment with them. It feels that their problems are our problems, what they feel is the only thing that matters to us. No matter how wrong they are, we always defend them in front of others. We might honestly tell that person about how he/she actually is to us, what we feel, how we look at them and their nature, and all the goods and bads in them, but if we hear someone back-biting about them, a horripilation of anger tingles down our spine.
They are our top most priority and when they are happy, we’re happy. Every small little things they do, they say, they give, they take, affects us. It feels as if everything happening around them is important for us to know. Their time is what we take and love is what we give back. Their presence enlivens everything around, makes us feel special and favoured. We thank god everyday for letting this person be so close to us, so connected to us, and so special to us. But, Their absence is what makes us feel incomplete. Where they had held our hands, and made our life brighter, their absence, pulls us back to where we were in those dark woods initially, all alone.
